As for the moon landing, Eric Maisonpierre and I were in Yosemite. Scratching our heads because there were dozens of motorhomes in the Valley in those days. And we were self righteously appalled because most of them had their awnings out and were watching their TVs at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. With El Capitan and Yosemite Falls above them. Half Dome and Glacier Point down the Valley. We headed up to Tuolumne Meadows and its relatively less crowded areas. It was only when I went to drop garbage in the bear proof containers that I read the headlines on a newspaper. Man had landed on the moon! I wished I’d known, I’d have joined the TV watchers too. A couple weeks later we headed back East to Woodstock. And then back to Darien until 2003, when I came to California to continue my exploartion of Yosemite and the wider Sierra Nevada. Was back in Connecticut for a couple years during the pandemic but returned again to Los Angeles in 2021.

From Molly:I am currently living in Bridgehampton, NY where I own a winery called Channing Daughters, named after my 4 girls - Francesca, Isabella, Sylvia and Nina. I am retired from a career in media and cable television having been part of the founding management of HBO. My husband of 30 years passed away. He was a sculptor, vintner, and ran a venture capital business in the healthcare field.

My passions are music, swimming, hiking, cooking and travel. I have 4 grandchildren who light up my life and many friends and family who bring joy and constant stimulation into my increasingly more leisurely days. I am grateful for my health and happiness.

From Heather:Started my career in NYC working in several art galleries before entering the world of magazine publishing. Oversaw consumer marketing for the American Kennel Club's publication followed by Hemmings Motor News in Bennington, Vermont before landing back in NYC at Conde Nast for 14 years. Happily retired back to Vermont where I met my husband, Edd Lyon, 19 years ago. Edd also grew up in Darien but we did not know each other though our parents did - small world! My days are now consumed with gardening both at home and as co-chair of the Bennington Chapter of UVM Ext. Master Gardeners and volunteering on the Board of the Bennington Museum. I have two wonderful step children and two wild abd adorable grandchildren, and our lives are very busy!
